Educational Visits
We believe strongly in the value that comes from ‘out-of-class’ learning. We ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to take part in visits and trips. Our programme is developmental and provides a range of curriculum trips (which are provided free of charge to families) and additional opportunities (for which there is a cost). The programme is regularly reviewed but usually includes:
Primary
- A trip to a local church at Christmas
- A residential trip
- A trip a museum
- A trip to a restaurant in Bedford
- Trips to the cinema to see age-appropriate films
- A day trip to a local attraction
- Annual panto trip
Secondary
- A trip to France
- Trips to the cinema to see age-appropriate films
- A day trip to London
- A residential trip
- A trip to a theme park
- A bi-annual ski trip
- Various trips to the theatre to see the latest productions
Duke of Edinburgh's Award
All of our Year 9 pupils have the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award and can continue to silver in Year 10. DofE Awards are highly regarded in many walks of life, but more importantly the activities undertaken are thoroughly enjoyable, though at times, quite demanding.
